Paul Rousseau is the Founder and Managing Principal of Cirology CPAs. He is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 25 years of experience across corporate finance, accounting, taxation, financial reporting, performance analysis, strategic planning, and business advisory.
Paul’s professional background spans public accounting, private industry, consulting, and executive leadership. He has worked with publicly traded companies, small and mid-sized businesses, emerging companies, entrepreneurs, real estate and construction development groups, professional services firms, technology companies, telecommunications businesses, manufacturers, hospitality operators, leasing organizations, and commercial brokerage platforms.
Paul’s experience reflects the core philosophy behind Cirology: clients need more than tax filings and historical accounting and reporting. They need trusted financial infrastructure that supports clarity, compliance, decision-making, growth, and long-term planning.
Throughout his career, Paul has worked with executive and senior management teams and business owners to analyze financial and operational performance, identify process improvements, develop budgets and forecasts, structure business models, evaluate acquisitions and dispositions, and improve reporting systems. His work has included financial modeling, discounted cash flow analysis, business planning, valuation support, due diligence, KPI analysis, capital planning, and transaction-related advisory support. Paul also brings extensive accounting and financial reporting experience. He has helped companies strengthen financial reporting processes, implement accounting systems, streamline internal workflows, develop management reporting tools, and improve the reliability and timeliness of financial information. His background includes oversight of financial statement preparation, accounting operations, month-end and year-end close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
His tax experience includes business formation and entity selection, tax compliance and planning, multi-state tax matters, partnership and corporate tax considerations, real estate and construction-related tax planning, long-term contract considerations, related-party transactions, tax credits, corporate reorganizations, ownership changes, stock option taxability, international inbound tax matters, and controlled foreign corporation considerations.
Prior to founding Cirology, Paul held leadership and technical roles across CPA firms, advisory services, corporate finance, real estate, construction, and private industry. His background includes experience as a CPA firm partner, tax and assurance manager, CFO, strategic advisor, finance executive, and senior corporate tax and financial analyst. Paul holds an Executive Master of Science in Finance from Georgia State University, a Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia, and bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Accounting from Georgia State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia.
